This does not diminish the powerful storytelling of writer Pedro Angosto and artist Jorge Santamaria Garcia, whose work on this story would make Wolfman and Perez beam with pride.
There is so much I want to say about this issue, but I don't want to spoil it for those who have not read it.
The revelations, twists and turns are captivating, and the various appearances of different characters add to a very rich concoction that is the perfect blend of action and adventure.
If you like New Teen Titans, if you like 80s DC, if you like GREAT STORIES, then you need to buy Big Bang Adventures #14 and #17 from IndyPlanet IMMEDIATELY, and beg Pedro and Jorge to bring us the conclusion to this epic tale AS SOON AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE!
If you buy it, read it, and don't like it, I vow to eat something unpleasant as a punishment. Yogurt. I will eat yogurt. And I HATE yogurt!
Pedro, Jorge, et al do a fantastic job moving the story along beautifully. Pedro is a wonderful writer, and his love of both this property in particular, as well as the work of the aforementioned Wolfman and Pérez is obvious. He does a great job making all the characters unique, and even though we all know they’re pastiches of other characters, they all stand on their own as individuals.
Jorge and Juan’s linework is a pleasure to look at, and for the amount of action they’ve been asked to draw for this issue, their talents have definitely been put to the test, and they come through with flying colors. Couple that with the lovely color work by Ulises, perfectly riding the middle ground between classic old school colorwork, and the hyper-saturated color work so prevalent in comics today (especially Indie comics), and you’ve got an amazing final product.
RAUL MONTESDEOCA: Ya me lo he leído y ¿qué decir?
