Era cosa de tiempo que Boom Studios cruzase a sus dos propiedades simiescas. Los monos más famosos del cine se encuentran en el nuevo cross-over:

KING KONG VS GODZILLA: UNA MONSTRUOSA BATALLA EN LA QUE HABRÁ UN GANADOR
Adam Windgard, su director, adelanta algunos de sus planes:
It’s a massive monster brawl movie. There’s lots of monsters going crazy on each other, but at the end of the day I want there to be an emotional drive to it.
I want you to be emotionally invested in them. I think that’s what’s going to make it cool.
I do want there to be a winner. The original film was very fun, but you feel a little let down that the movie doesn’t take a definitive stance.
People are still debating now who won in that original movie, you know. So, I do want people to walk away from this film feeling like, Okay, there is a winner.

KING KONG VS. GODZILLA, SU DIRECTOR HABLA SOBRE SUS PLANES
Adam Windgard se lo está pasando teta documentándose:
"It's been a pleasure already in the first stages of it, having an excuse to go back and watch 30 Godzilla movies and justifying it to yourself.
For me, it's about taking the series to the next level."
"I think they're very similar in a lot of ways. It's easy to demonize Godzilla on one hand, but I have a lot of emotional attachment to both monsters."
Hay muchos fans preocupados por la actual diferencia de tamaños entre ambos monstrios, pero el directo anuncia que ya tienen eso en cuenta:
"They gave us a good out in Kong when they mentioned that Kong is still growing, but that'll be a challenge we have to deal with, and we're very aware of that issue."

KING KONG: ¡UNA NUEVA SERIE TELEVISIVA CONTINUARÁ LA PELI ORIGINAL!
Written by Jonathan Penner and Stacy Title (The Bye Bye Man), the series is based on Merian C. Cooper’s King Kong and DeVito ArtWorks’ Skull Island.
King Kong Skull Island is a serialized, contemporary continuation of the classic with a female-led, multicultural ensemble that delves into the wonders and horrors of Skull Island and its origins.
Un enfoque un tanto sorprendente, el de retrotraerse ahora a la película original, pero que sin duda nos alegra a los fans de la misma.
Al parecer el tal DeVito acusa a Warner de haberse quedado con su idea del origen de Skull Island que rechazaron para luego desarrollar a través de Legendary en la versión recientemente estrenada.
Y, faltaba más, anuncian ya el "enfoque multicultural", como si este pudiese evadirse en cualquier nuevo proyecto...
En cualquier caso, seguiremos la noticia con atención y nos alegramos de la popularidad de los simios.
