¡¡¡J.J. ABRAMS: "ES RESPONSABILIDAD MÍA QUE STAR TREK: INTO THE DARKNESS FRACASARA"!!!

Dos días después de la publicación del polémico TRAILER de Star Trek que no ha gustado ni a Trekkies, ni a la antigua tripulación, ni tampoco a la nueva, un ESCANDALOSO TITULAR rezaba:

"STAR TREK BEYOND VA A IGNORAR DE FACTO INTO THE DARKNESS"

Extraña manera de publicitar una película...¿no...? ¡Cagándose -con perdón- encima de la anterior, que además es solo la segunda de un SUPUESTAMENTE exitoso reboot!

Exitoso quizás en términos de taquilla, puesto que cualquier fan de la saga sabe que con el relanzamiento, de Star Trek solo había quedado el nombre.

Bueno, seamos justos, el nombre Y LOS PIJAMAS.

Me vais a permitir que me apunte un tantito:  yo ya lo dije, aquí.

Fijaos al final, donde ya dudaba de la Star Wars de Abrams, hace dos años.

“I embraced what J.J. [Abrams] has brought — without him this whole group wouldn’t be together – so I’m definitely very appreciative of him. 

At the same time, do we address it? No, but we don’t discount it. We don’t sit there and say it doesn’t exist, it’s part of this universe now.”

Esto dice Justin Lin, el director de Beyond,  sobre la peli anterior.

Y, en medio de este maremagnum que no solo cuestiona el marketing de Paramount sino toda la dirección del reboot, va el propio Abrams -que anda promocionando, ya sabéis, su "último trabajo"- y hace las siguientes declaraciones de la saga que ayudó a "renacer":

"Any plot trouble was not anyone’s fault but mine, or, frankly, anyone’s problem but mine.”

“I take full responsibility for this — I was encouraging the writers in certain directions, and we were working on the script and putting it together.

But by the time we started shooting, and this was literally at the very beginning of the shoot, there were certain things I was unsure of. ”

“Any movie, any story has a fundamental conversation happening during it. 

There’s a fundamental argument; there’s a central question. And I didn’t have it.”

Kirk and Spock remained the film’s central characters, but, what was their issue? What was their dynamic? What was their problem? And it wasn’t really clear.”

“I felt like, in a weird way, it was a little bit of a collection of scenes that were written by my friends — brilliantly talented writers — who I somehow misled in trying to do certain things."

And yet, I found myself frustrated by my choices, and unable to hang my hat on an undeniable thread of the main story. 

So then I found myself on that movie basically tap-dancing as well as I could to try and make the sequences as entertaining as possible.

“At the end of the day, while I agree with Damon Lindelof that withholding the Khan thing ended up seeming like we were lying to people, 

I was trying to preserve the fun for the audience, and not just tell them something that the characters don’t learn for 45 minutes into the movie, so the audience wouldn’t be so ahead of it.”

“I would never say that I don’t think that the movie ended up working, but I feel like it didn’t work as well as it could have had I made some better decisions before we started shooting.”

Entonces... ¿estáis seguros que este es el director que "HA DEVUELTO LA GLORIA A STAR WARS"...?

¿Alguien que empieza a rodar una película SIN SABER CUAL ES EL TEMA CENTRAL...?

Personalmente, espero que no aguarde al año que viene para confesar que tampoco sabía que hacer con Star Wars.

Ya veréis como, de aquí a entonces, mi crítica a El Despertar de la Fuerza no resulta tan... minoritaria.
