Con una EXQUISITA portada de Jeff Parker se pone fin -al menos de momento, algo tiene pensado Didio- a las andanzas de los héroes Hanna-Barbera en su nuevo Universo Compartido.

En cualquier caso, al genial artista hay "un par de sitios" donde DC podría darle mucho más adecuado empleo.

BRIAN BENDIS ESCRIBE EL ESPERADO CÓMIC DE LOS DEFENDERS DE NETFLIX

Al César lo que es del César... El Universo televisivo de Netflix, que ha llevado a la ficción televisiva a nuevos niveles (con la salvedad de la segunda mitad de Luke Cage, totalmente carente de contenido alguno) no existiría sin Brian Bendis y sin el tratamiento que el hizo de estos personajes.

No solo trabajó en Daredevil en su momento, no solo creó a Jessica Jones sino que introdujo a Luke Cage en unos por entonces POLEMIQUÍSIMOS New Avengers.

Alrededor de el y Jessica se organizaron los Vengadores durante su mejor etapa, de Civil War al comienzo de la siguiente serie.

En dicha serie llegaron al grupo Iron Fist y hasta un improbable Daredevil. La cabra tira al monte, y esos Vengadores Urbanos han acado heredado la marca de los Defenders, por desgracia repetidamente fracasada una y otra vez.

I wanted do a sprawling, Godfather-like epic at the street level of the Marvel Universe, really putting out hooks down and creating a modern, elaborate organized crime story that is different than what has gone before, but builds on everything that has happened to these characters, as individuals or as a team, and putting them in the hardest battle for the street that anyone can imagine.

Bendis concluye con unas interesantes declaraciones sobre el COMPROMISO CREATIVO de permanecer en una serie regular:

I love ongoing titles. I love what happens in the second year of titles…. There’s a lot of hit-and-run writers and artists, I get that, but I find the real substance is when you’ve made a commitment.

If you say to yourself, 'I’m only staying for six issues,' you've already kind of left. 

If you say to yourself, 'I’m staying,' then you really commit to it on a level that is important to the reader.

¿Que...? ¿Hay ganas de leer este nuevo cómic o sigue existiendo por ahí aquella legión de BENDISHATERS? :-P
