One of the things that got us really excited about Jordan’s take was as we were working toward grounding Kong, in a similar way as we aspired to with Godzilla, Jordan came in with this idea of setting this at the dawn of the Landsat program. The Landsat program is a real program that was formed to start utilizing satellites to map the surface of the earth.

It’s the first time we ever did that, and in that mapping, they discover this previously uncharted island, that is surrounded by weather patterns, storm systems. It’s incredibly difficult to reach and incredibly difficult to even ascertain its existence, because of these storm systems and weather abnormalities and all of that. So, it’s an entirely unique ecosystem.

“If Kong is the god of this island, we wanted each of the creatures to feel like individual gods of their own domain. Miyazaki[‘s] Princess Mononoke was actually a big reference in the way that the spirit creatures sort of have their own domains and fit within that. So a big thing [was] trying to design creatures that felt realistic and could exist in an ecosystem that feels sort of wild and out there, and then also design things that simultaneously felt beautiful and horrifying at the same time. 

Where if you look at this giant spider or this water buffalo, you stare at it and part of you says, ‘That’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen!’ and [another part says], ’Oh my God that’s gonna kill me right now and I need to run for my life!’”

Dentro de los surrealista, las noticias de DC Films siguen siendo increíblemente CONEXAS.

¿Que se necesita una reescritura de guión...? ¡¿PARA QUÉ VAMOS A BUSCAR A ALGUIEN DE FUERA, QUE APORTE FRESCURA Y OTRO ENFOQUE, PUDIENDO TIRAR DE ALGUIEN DE DENTRO, DOBLEMENTE FRACASADO...?!

Yo ya dije que Geoff Johns era una pésima elección para guionizar Batman, juzgando por sus dos "atentados" en Earth One.

Pero pretender que lo arregle quien ha producido los desmanes de BATMAN V SUPERMAN y JUSTICE LEAGUE solo se entiende en esta productora endogámica que recurre una y otra vez a los mismos autores, que deben tener fotos MUY COMPROMETEDORAS de los directivos.

Si no, no se entiende.

Así que, cuando anuncien que quien va a ayudar a Affleck en la dirección es ZACK SNYDER, no os asustéis... ;-)

RESIDENT EVIL: EL CAPÍTULO FINAL

Con esta sexta entrega concluye finalmente esta saga cinematográfica basada en el popular videojuego.

Yo no lo he jugado, ni las he visto todas, pero no me arriesgo si digo que, como adaptación de videojuego, es INSUPERABLE.

La película básicamente consiste en acción, acción, acción, acción, y un poquito más de acción.

Mila Jovovich ha alcanzado su madurez matando a cuanto zombie se ha puesto a su paso, y en esta entrega casi se dedica más a exterminar los monstruos genéticos creados por la Umbrella Corporation, aunque no faltan esos simpáticos comehumanos de tan inquietantes andares.

Con solo unos pocos humanos supervivientes tendrá que infiltrarse en la base de Umbrella para conseguir parar la extinción.

Como buen videojuego, esta está llena de pruebas, niveles, sótanos, escaleras metálicas, bombillas que funcionan mal y un susto tras otro.

Los villanos son... ¡DE VIDEOJUEGO!

Pero de tan malos malísimos sirven para pegar un par de carcajadas.

Así que si disfrutáis con Femme Fatales imparables que arrasan con todo lo que se les interpone entre ellas y el nivel final del juego, no os perdáis esta orgía de balas.

Muestra de la RELEVANCIA de los superhéroes en la Cultura actual, hasta esta revista se hace eco de la noticia publicando un SESUDO ANÁLISIS.

Y es que las consecuencias de estos movimientos para Warner y sus acciones pueden terminar siendo FATALES, sobre todo si no se rectifica el camino y el sistema, como vemos que no se hace.

No se trata como decíamos que buscar un mero sustituto o ayudante a Affleck, sino de la horrible publicidad que supone que a diestro y siniestro directores abandonen los proyectos de DC, y los que se queden obtengan pésimas críticas.

La estrategia de "como hacemos taquilla podemos seguir haciendo lo que queramos" no va a funcionar.

El aburrimiento de los fans se va a notar en la siguiente cinta, y las críticas van a ser crecientemente alarmantes y demoledoras si no satisfacen todas las esperanzas de los fans.

Eso, unido al creciente éxito de Marvel, terminará tarde o temprano cargándose todos los planes y toda la estructura de producción de DC Films.

Está en juego mucho más que la sustitución de un director, y esperemos que todo se resuelva lo más rápido y definitivamente posible.

Insisto: La Llegada de Geoff Johns a DC Films no ha afectado en nada a sus tácticas y a sus problemas, que solo se reproducen recurrentemente hasta el desastre final.
