DAN SLOTT SOBRE EL OFICIO DE ESCRIBIR

There's only one person you have to write for: yourself.

Write something you'd want to read.

Believe in what you're doing.

Readers will come.

Someone gives you constructive criticism?
Be open to it. It might have merit.

Someone shows up just to tear you down?
Fuck them. They're not worth your time.

Someone praises you for it?
Be grateful. And don't let it go to your head.

Don't write to make other people happy.
Your story isn't multiple choice.

It's not a democracy.
It's your voice.

Only one person gets a vote on what your voice is today and what it will be tomorrow.
You.

Now go.

Write!
